That’s it, I’m taking the plunge!
How many of us have repeated this sentence, determined to embark on the adventure of entrepreneurship?
And how many have been discouraged by the many pitfalls of the creator’s journey?
The business failure rate is particularly high, reaching 50% in the first 3 years. To this we must even add those that will never see the light of day!
And for good reason!
Our system does not favor the emergence of projects. Worse, we have built support systems that break and restrict without offering solutions to carry out ideas. Although taxation and the lack of support from financial institutions are to blame, it is necessary to understand that in absolute terms not everyone is meant to become a business creator. However, the labor market is undergoing a profound mutation and it should no longer be seen solely through the prism of employment. However, it must be understood that being an entrepreneur is a whole mindset. Because it is possible to be an excellent professional but a very bad entrepreneur. Beyond the purely “management” aspect, it is indeed a mindset that applicants for creation do not all possess. An entrepreneur possesses the notion of venture capital. They project, anticipate, extrapolate, they are one step ahead and that is exactly what allows them to be visionary. They connect to others, to environments, to the worlds around them. They think opportunity, assets, added value, solution… Capable of convincing, of reassuring (themselves) in troubled times, of drawing a road map even for a vague destination.
In short, a proactive personality in perpetual renewal. All those involved in supporting business creation are aware of this. Yet building a reliable business model focuses all attention. The profile of the carrier is studied only within the framework of the business plan to highlight their transferable skills. And this is not enough. Personality is one of the main factors of success!
What can be done then to give (oneself) all the keys to success?
It is not uncommon for the creator themselves to realize their deficiencies without being able to remedy them. A very simple solution exists. Partnering up!
Carriers look for partners more easily in the context of financial funds but too rarely to compensate for this lack. Finding the right person to carry, implement and develop their project. Because even when they wish to, their network is the only way to find a partner, which often limits the possibilities. Why not imagine a platform to link ideas, skills and people capable of developing them?
A “Meetic of entrepreneurship”, an “Attractive work” for business creation! Or even think about and propose a master class on the entrepreneurial mindset!
A short training course that would combine awareness and a toolbox on themes as varied as speech and oral expression, how to create opportunities, what is networking, how to develop your network, risk management, time management, conflict management, NLP, psycho-social styles, decision making etc… In short, a concentrate of the DNA of an entrepreneur to refine the intuitivity and soft skills of young creators.
