This weekend, the team 24h00i was present at Vivatech, “THE” event dedicated to innovation in Paris.
The creative and innovative spirit is definitely there. It is felt at every booth, every startup pitch and every new product or service. The SNCF robot, drones controllable via a headset… it almost feels like being in a futuristic film.
A few innovations that struck me: a “living book” with characters that start moving when the page is turned and the sensorwake: a scent-based alarm clock. The first is the dream of many children, the second – of many adults. Nothing better than waking up to the smell of coffee and croissants (it is however recommended to have them in stock to avoid the disappointment of returning to reality).
The conclusions I draw from this event are inspiring:
1. Everything we can imagine can become a reality
2. Innovation requires boldness and perseverance: all startups had to work hard with confidence in their project for it to see the light of day
3. Innovation is born at the crossroads of different profiles and requires collaboration
4. Innovation requires openness to others
5. Innovation is a path where each step transforms us
