In a context of climate urgency, vivatech-2025/" class="k-autolink">VivaTech 2025 has given special visibility to GreenTech innovations and to technology serving sustainable development. At the heart of the show, a dedicated space named Impact Bridge, designed in partnership with EDF, highlighted startups targeting major environmental and societal challenges. Examples included the startup Genesis, winner of the Tech4Change award, with its platform for monitoring agricultural soil health via data, a crucial tool for sustainable viticulture already adopted within the Moët Hennessy group. Other startups proposed transforming our relationship with energy: for instance, Enerdrape (Switzerland) presented a solution to convert underground parking lots into geothermal heating sources, while Werover (United Kingdom) is working on renewable energy storage via flywheels. Even heavy industry is not forgotten, with, for example, a project aiming to trap CO₂ in mining waste to reduce the carbon footprint of extractive sectors. The show also put a spotlight on the winners of the AfricaTech Awards, including the South African startup Plentify (green energy) and the Nigerian Zeeh Africa (fintech for e-commerce), illustrating the dynamism of innovation on the African continent. All of these initiatives remind us that technology is an essential lever for accelerating the ecological transition. Whether it is about greening transport, agriculture, energy, or cities, GreenTech is establishing itself as an essential component of VivaTech and future growth. A fundamental trend, encouraged by large groups and investors in search of positive impact.
