Among the key themes of the trade show, cybersecurity held a prominent position, just behind AI in terms of priorities for companies. Facing the surge in cyberattacks, new defensive solutions emerged in the aisles of VivaTech. Specialized startups like Filigran drew attention with their open-source suite to anticipate and counter cyberattacks in real time. Others, such as Habs (also present in the neurotech niche), presented Neoxa, the first hard drive secured by biometric authentication and advanced encryption. These innovations show how French tech is organizing to protect data and critical infrastructure. Regarding speakers, we noted the participation of major names like Nikesh Arora, CEO of Palo Alto Networks, who came to discuss challenges of digital trust and digital identity. The technological sovereignty mentioned on the AI front also applies to cybersecurity: at the European scale, the need for local and reliable solutions is felt to reduce dependence on foreign tools. VivaTech 2025 highlighted a booming cyber ecosystem, aware of growing threats (ransomware, sabotage, espionage) and determined to respond with new approaches. Proactive security, defensive AI, quantum encryption – the keywords of next-generation cybersecurity were on everyone’s lips. A reassuring message for companies and States: the response is being organized, and it will be innovative.
