VivaTech is not just the playground of startups, it is also that of large groups in search of new technologies. The perfect illustration was the LVMH Innovation Award ceremony, a traditional highlight of the show, where the luxury giant rewarded three partner startups for their collaborations with its Maisons. The LVMH jury distinguished Kahoona (Best Business award) for its predictive segmentation tool for web visitors co-developed with Dior, Genesis (Best Impact award) for its soil health monitoring solution used by Moët Hennessy, and OMI (Most Promising award) for its 3D content creation studio in collaboration with Guerlain. These awards illustrate how a century-old group like LVMH relies on startups to innovate, whether by improving the customer experience, accelerating the sustainable transition, or reinventing creative processes. “ Innovation is a collective effort “ recalled Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, praising the audacity of these entrepreneurs. More broadly, major French accounts are mobilizing to support young startups: during the show, ten major companies (Orange, LVMH, SNCF, EDF, etc.) announced a commitment of 1 billion euros to finance French startups by 2026. This “Je choisis la French Tech” initiative aims to boost corporate purchases and investments in the ecosystem. With their XXL stands, from LVMH to La Poste, large groups occupied the field at VivaTech – not to eclipse startups, but to better move forward with them. Between accelerators, hackathons, and strategic partnerships, the 2025 edition confirmed that innovation is built hand in hand, with large companies and startups united.
