From watch glass to mobile electronics

The history of Lens Technology is closely linked to that of its founder, Zhou Qunfei. Trained in glassworking in the watchmaking industry, she developed her own business before establishing Lens Technology in Shenzhen in 2003. The rise of mobile phones, followed by touchscreen smartphones, created a major market for processes used to cut, polish and treat transparent surfaces.

The group subsequently established a major industrial base in Hunan. Its listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2015 marked a new stage in its development. This trajectory illustrates the transition from specialized expertise to an organization capable of meeting the volume and quality requirements of consumer electronics. From materials to subassemblies

Glass remains a cornerstone of its operations, but Lens Technology also works with metal, ceramics and synthetic sapphire for various components. Its parts are used in the manufacture of smartphones, tablets, computers and wearable devices.
