Géraldine Le Meur , Co-founder of TheRefiners and serial entrepreneur (LeWeb, RapidSite, Ublog and several other adventures), told us her story during the “Initiation to entrepreneurship” course by Jacques-Henri Eyraud at Sciences Po Paris which I am attending.
She inspired me with unparalleled determination, standing by her choices until the end. You can feel it in her words, Géraldine Le Meur does what she wants to do and is comfortable in her own shoes.

An initiative that offers startups the opportunity to be immersed in Silicon Valley for 3 months. The goal: rub shoulders with the best of the digital and innovation world in order to refine their services, their product, their way of working and their relationship to innovation.
During the Q&A sessions, some people expressed concern about a potential “brain drain to the USA”
According to Géraldine Le Meur, the vision remains clear: to allow startups that have the level to see the best of what is done elsewhere. The goal is not to extract them from French Tech but to immerse them in the high level, since all Global Tech and Innovation today starts from Silicon Valley.
Opinions remain divided. Mine is that there is added value in going to see the best of what is done elsewhere. It can even be an excellent way to broaden horizons, to see innovation and its possibilities of adaptation to each economy and even to obtain funding, why not? Furthermore, this initiative is open to startups from all horizons!
